Junior Chanler Taylor (Bloomington, Ill.) started the second-period scoring as her breakaway speed created a breakaway opportunity and her shot found the back of the net off assists from sophomore Taylor Heleniak (Mercer, Wis.) and senior Charlotte Toor (Hartland, Mich.).
The Spartans found their way onto the scoreboard with a loose puck in a scrum in front of the net.
Mackaylan McGown struck again to start the third-period scoring off a one-timer from Abby Hansberger and a secondary assist to junior Naomi Black (Ottawa, Ontario).
Aurora struck again with a two-on-one breakaway.
