Falcons Fly Into Top 25 of NCAA Power Index Rankings

MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin football team continues to soar to new heights as the Falcons have earned the No. 24 spot in the NCAA Division III NCAA Power Index (NPI) rankings released Monday.

The Blue and White are the highest-ranked team in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC), earning national recognition following a perfect 6-0 start to the 2026 campaign.

Under the direction of head coach Greg Etter, the Falcons have emerged as one of the nation's undefeated teams, combining an explosive offense with a resilient defense that has delivered in crucial moments throughout the season.

Concordia Wisconsin earned an NPI rating of 64.287, placing the Falcons at No. 24 nationally, just behind No. 23 Lake Forest (64.416) and ahead of No. 25 Wesleyan (64.226).

The Falcons are one of three teams from Region V represented in the top 25, joining No. 4 Wheaton (Ill.) and No. 23 Lake Forest.

The national recognition comes following another impressive performance Saturday, when Concordia Wisconsin rolled past Eureka, 55-12, to improve to 6-0 overall and 4-0 in NACC play.

The Falcons' undefeated start has featured several memorable victories, including a thrilling 29-28 triumph over Aurora, a 49-28 victory over Lakeland in the Cheese Bowl and a 21-14 Homecoming victory against Concordia Chicago.

The NPI is used by the NCAA to evaluate teams for postseason championship selection, taking into account results and the strength of opponents. The rankings provide a national comparison of Division III programs as the postseason picture begins to take shape.

Concordia Wisconsin will look to keep its perfect season rolling Saturday, Oct. 17, when the Falcons travel to Rockford for a 1 p.m. NACC matchup.
