MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia University Wisconsin men's basketball team closed the 2025–26 regular season with a 90–80 victory over Marian University on Wednesday night. The Falcons finish the regular season 14–11 overall and 12–6 in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference play and secure the No. 4 seed for the upcoming NACC Tournament. CUW will host Marian in the quarterfinal round.
The Falcons completed the season sweep of the Sabres and improved to 40–14 in the all-time series, winning the last five meetings.
Marian held a slim 37–36 advantage at halftime before the teams traded baskets through the opening 10 minutes of the second half. CUW then seized control with a decisive 13–3 run over 2:28, sparked by senior
Logan Landers (Cedarburg, Wis.), who scored seven points during the stretch. Sophomore
Luke Eggemeyer (Perryville, Mo.) added four points, and junior
Casey Verhagen (Sheboygan, Wis.) capped the run with a basket that gave the Falcons a lead they would not relinquish.
CUW's defense limited Marian to 22 points over the final 10 minutes while the Falcons poured in 36 to pull away.
Landers recorded his second straight double-double with a game-high 35 points and 13 rebounds, shooting 10-of-13 from the field and 14-of-17 at the free-throw line. With 655 points this season, Landers matched the NACC single-season scoring record set by Jake Schwartz of Lakeland University in 2011–12.
Eggemeyer added his first career double-double with career highs of 21 points and 11 rebounds, along with a team-best three steals. He and Landers accounted for all six of CUW's blocked shots.
Verhagen finished with 18 points and a team-high seven assists. Junior
Jaden Guyton (Whitefish Bay, Wis.) scored 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting, including 2-for-2 from three-point range, while junior
Severin Hilt (West Bend, Wis.) added six points on 2-of-2 shooting from beyond the arc.
The official bracket for the NACC Tournament will be released this weekend. CUW's quarterfinal matchup against Marian is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the R. John Buuck Field House.
