NEW ORLEANS – Junior
Isaiah Lubner (Campbellsport, Wis.) of the Concordia University Wisconsin men's track and field team was named All-Region by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). The Falcons compete in the North Region, and the honor marks the first All-Region selection of Lubner's career.
Â
Lubner earned the recognition in the 800 meters. On Feb. 21 at the UWO Titan Challenge, the junior completed the four-lap race in 1:53.45 on a flat track, breaking the program record in the event. The time converts to a banked-track equivalent of 1:51.87, ranking eighth in the North Region and 27th in NCAA Division III this season.
Â
The Falcons return to action next weekend at the Early Bird Invite, hosted by Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Ind.
