TERRA HAUTE, Ind. – The Concordia University Wisconsin men's track and field team opened the 2026 outdoor season with a fourth-place finish at the Rose-Hulman Early Bird Invite on Saturday. The Falcons totaled 97 points behind 20 top-10 finishes, including nine top-five results and five event victories.

In the hurdles, senior
Brandon Donahue (Hubertus, Wis.) placed sixth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 16.75. Junior
Zach Wendland (Green Bay, Wis.) followed with a first-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles, completing the lap in 55.52. Wendland also competed in the field events, finishing fourth in the high jump (1.78 meters) and sixth in the javelin (42.21 meters).

In the sprints, junior
Kyle Steiner finished eighth in the 200 meters with a time of 22.76. Sophomore
Victor Watson Jr. (Cypress, Texas) set personal records in both the 100 meters (11.43) and 200 meters (23.44), placing 13th in each event.

In the middle-distance events, freshman
Liam Wielert (Crown Point, Ind.) claimed first place in the 800 meters with a personal-best time of 1:58.08. Junior
Isaiah Lubner (Campbellsport, Wis.) also recorded a personal best, finishing second in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:01.48.

Aaron Mudge (St. Louis, Mo.), freshman
Alex Spartz, and Steiner captured first place with a time of 43.12.

Steiner also competed in the long jump, winning the event with a mark of 6.55 meters on his final attempt. Sophomore
Lucas Mathes (Brillion, Wis.) placed third in the long jump with a mark of 6.24 meters and followed with another third-place finish in the triple jump at 12.54 meters. Freshman
Josh Kribs (Green Bay, Wis.) finished second in the triple jump with a mark of 12.56 meters.

In the pole vault, freshman
Cooper Parent (O'Fallon, Ill.) recorded a personal-best clearance of 3.75 meters to finish sixth.

In the throws, sophomore
Dayne Baker (Watertown, Wis.) placed 12th in the hammer throw (41.13 meters) and eighth in the shot put (12.87 meters). He concluded his day with a seventh-place finish in the discus after recording a mark of 38.84 meters on his final attempt.

The Falcons return to action next weekend at North Central College's First Chance Invite. The two-day meet begins Friday, March 27, in Naperville, Illinois.
