NEW ORLEANS – Junior
Emma Ahrens (Stephens City, Va.) of the Concordia University Wisconsin women's track and field team earned All-Region honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Competing in the North Region, Ahrens received the recognition in both the 3000-meter and 5000-meter events.

In the 3000m, Ahrens recorded a time of 9:59.69 on a flat track at the UWO Titan Challenge. The mark converts to a banked-track equivalent of 9:54.60, ranking sixth in the North Region. Her flat-track performance also stands as the second-fastest time in program history.

Ahrens also posted the sixth-best time in the region in the 5000m. At the UWO Early Bird & Multi, the Virginia native clocked 17:15.25 on a flat track, which ranks third in program history. The converted banked-track equivalent of 17:07.39 placed her in All-Region standing and ranks 32nd in NCAA Division III this season.

The Falcons return to action next weekend at the Early Bird Invite hosted by Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Ind.
