PACE, Fla. – The Concordia University Wisconsin baseball team defeated Nebraska Wesleyan University, 6–4, in the first-ever meeting between the programs. The game was part of day two of the Pensacola Challenge, with Friday's contests played in nearby Pace, Florida. The victory extends the Falcons' winning streak to three games as they improve to 3–8 on the season.

Freshman
Easton Oliver (West Bend, Wis.) led the way for the Falcons on the mound. Making his second collegiate start, the freshman tossed eight full innings, facing 34 batters and throwing 108 pitches while striking out four Prairie Wolves. Freshman
Russell Roodenburg (Scottsdale, Ariz.) entered in relief in the ninth inning and needed just seven pitches to retire the side, securing the win with a perfect frame. Oliver earned his first collegiate victory and moves to 1–1 on the season, while Roodenburg collected his first career save.

Offensively, junior
Connor Lasch (Chicago, Ill.) paced the Falcons, going 3-for-5 at the plate with four RBIs. Lasch opened the Falcons' scoring in the top of the fourth inning with a two-run home run over the left-field fence to tie the game at 2–2.

The Prairie Wolves attempted a comeback in the seventh inning, trimming the deficit to 6–4, but the Falcons held firm to secure the victory.

Concordia Wisconsin returns to the diamond tomorrow for another matchup against Grinnell. The Falcons opened their trip to the Sunshine State with an 8–6 win over the Pioneers on Thursday. The teams will meet again in Pensacola with a first pitch scheduled for 4 p.m. ET.
