RACINE, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin women's tennis team returned to action on Friday night against an in-state foe. The Firebirds of Carthage improved to 7-8 on the year with a 7-0 victory to send the Falcons to 6-12 on the year.
In doubles play, the Falcons put up a battle on court three on Friday night. The team of freshman Samatha Mudra (Hartford, Wis.) and sophomore Ruth Dolde (Fort Wayne, Ind.) fell 5-7.
The closest singles courts for Concordia came at No. 4 and No. 5 singles with sophomore Katelyn de Guzman (Belvidere, Ill.) and freshman Taylor Weiner (Bakersfield, Calif) falling 2-6, 3-6 on their respective courts.
The Falcons return to the home courts on April 11 against Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
