Falcons Rip Apart the Raiders in NACC Quarterfinals

GLENDALE, Wis. – It was a great day to be a Falcon. The Concordia Wisconsin women's tennis team crushed the Milwaukee School of Engineering in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Tournament Quarterfinals on Wednesday afternoon. The Falcons improved to 7-14 with a 4-1 victory over MSOE.

The Falcons soared to a quick victory at No. 2 doubles to start the day. Freshman Abigail Hailey (Frohna, mo.) and sophomore Katelyn de Guzman (Belvidere, Ill.) cruised to a 6-1 victory.

Sophomore Ruth Dolde (Fort Wayne, Ind.) and freshman Samantha Mudra (Hartford, Wis.) secured the doubles point with a 6-4 victory on court three.

Ruth Dolde downed Amelia Segelstrom at No. 2 singles, 6-1, 6-0.

The Raiders claimed their lone point of the day at No. 1 singles on Wednesday.

Abigail Hailey brought out the brooms at No. 3 singles with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Simona Sulimas.

Freshman Taylor Weiner (Bakersfield, Calif.) clinched the match with a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Autumn Thoresen at No. 5 singles.

Samantha Mudra was leading at No. 6 singles on Wednesday when the match was called.

The Falcons will have a quick turnaround at and will travel to Illinois Tech and face the Scarlet Hawks on Thursday morning in the NACC Tournament Semifinals.
