Falcons in Fourth Place at NACC Championships

WAUKESHA, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin men's track & field team opened the 2026 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Friday. The Falcons are in fourth place after day one with 18 points.  The MSOE Raiders are in first place with 93 points.

Sophomore Dayne Baker (Watertown, Wis.) earned the bronze medal in the discus throw on Friday at 42.79 meters. Sophomore Hayden Kettmann (Beecher, Ill.) was 11th at 35.88 meters, ahead of Sophomore Dawson Kolka (Sanford, Mich.) in 12th place at 35.57 meters. Senior John Kutner (Muskego, Wis.) placed 17th at 32.68 meters and sophomore Clayton Nichols (Okauchee, Wis.) was 19th at 3105 meters.

Junior Zech Wendland (Green Bay, Wis.) finished in third place in the javelin throw at 48.99 meters. Clayton Nichols added to the Concordia point total in sixth place at 41.38 meters. John Kutner was 18th at 36.54 meters, junior Luke Witte (Monroe, Mich.) was 19th at 36.42 meters and sophomore Corban Jackson (Green Bay, Wis.) was 21st at 33.47 meters.

Sophomore Lucas Mathes (Brillion, Wis.) collected three points for the Falcons in sixth place in the triple jump at 13.49 meters. Freshman Josh Kribs (Green Bay, Wis.) was 11th at 13.44 meters, with junior Aaron Klug (Arlington, Va.) 12th at 12.60 meters.

Freshman William Hemling (Beaver Dam, Wis.) is halfway through the decathlon with an eighth-place finish in the 100-meter dash, third-place finish in the 400-meter dash, a ninth place finish in the high jump, a 10th-place finish in the long jump and a 10th-place finish in the shot put.

In the 3000-meter steeplechase, freshman Carter Bonlender (Eldorado, Wis.) was ninth at 10:47.35 and Riley Johnson placed 10th at 11:50.43.

Junior Kyle Steiner qualified for the 100-meter dash finals in third place at 11.02. Sophomore Victor Watson Jr. (Cypress, Texas) was 13th at 11.48, while Aaron Mudge was 22nd at 11.82 and freshman Alex Spartz was 23rd at 11.83. Dylan Herrera-Beltran rounded out the flock in 30th place at 12.32.

Steiner also quailed for the 200-meter dash finials in fourth place at 22.37. Victor Watson Jr. finished in 17th place at 23.46.

The Falcons will be represented by Zach Wendland in the 400-meter dash finals on Saturday after finishing third at 49.98. Senior Nicholas Maksymiu (Deerfield, Wis.) just missed the cut in 11th place at 51.78, while sophomore Brock Roseman (Pueblo, Colo.) was 17th at 53.75.

Junior Isaiah Lubner (Campbellsport, Wis.) qualified for the 800-meter run finals in sixth place at 1:58.70. Freshman Kaden Sanfilippo (Glendale, Wis.) finished 11th at 1:59.51, while freshman Liam Wielert (Crown Point, Ind.) was 23rd at 2:08.24, freshman Jackson Huebner (Watertown, Wis.) was 27th at 2:12.85 and Gabriel Baker was 29th at 2:14.07.

All three Falcons quailed in the 110-meter hurdles with Zach Wendland fourth at 15.71, senior Brandon Donahue (Hubertus, Wis.) fifth at 15.72 and senior Bernie Van Den Heuvel (Valders, Wis.) ninth at 16.34.

Zach Wendland posted the fastest 400-meter hurdles qualifying time at 56.66. Junior Josh Sipes (Charleston, Ill.) also qualified in eighth place at 1:02.15. Aaron Klug finished 10th at 1:04.93 ad Luke Witte was 13th at 1:07.47.

The Falcons close the competition on Saturday.
