Landers' Historic Year Highlights Falcons 2025-26 Campaign

MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia University Wisconsin men's basketball team put together a successful 2025-26 campaign, finishing with a 14-12 overall record and a 12-6 mark in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference play. The Falcons earned a fourth-place finish in the conference standings and secured a trip to the NACC Tournament, while individual achievements highlighted one of the most memorable seasons in recent program history.

Concordia earned its first victory of the season on November 14, defeating Wartburg 80-75 and setting the tone for a competitive year. The Falcons remained in the mix among the conference's top teams throughout the season, ultimately finishing fourth in the NACC standings and earning a home conference tournament game.

The Falcons' postseason journey came to an end in the NACC Tournament Quarterfinals, where they fell to Marian by a 72-52 score. Despite the early postseason exit, Concordia's season featured several significant milestones and standout performances.

Leading the way was Logan Landers, who authored one of the greatest individual seasons in program history. The senior appeared in all 26 games while making 25 starts and finished the year with 655 points, a .559 field goal percentage, and 297 total rebounds. Landers consistently dominated both ends of the floor and was recognized throughout the season for his efforts.

One of the most memorable moments of the year came on December 6 against MSOE when Landers broke the Concordia University Wisconsin single-game scoring record by pouring in 49 points. Less than two months later, on January 28 against Concordia Chicago, he reached another historic milestone by surpassing 1,000 career points, cementing his place among the program's elite players.

His performances earned national recognition throughout the season. Landers was named NACC Player of the Week six times and earned D3hoops.com Team of the Week honors on three occasions. Following the season, he garnered D3hoops.com First Team All-Region honors, NABC All-District Second Team recognition, D3hoops.com All-America honors, and CSC Academic All-America accolades.

At the conference level, Landers and Casey Verhagen were both selected to the All-NACC First Team after helping guide the Falcons to a fourth-place finish in the league standings.

The Falcons also found success in the classroom. Luke Eggemeyer, Landers, and Severin Hilt earned CSC Academic All-District honors, highlighting the program's commitment to excellence both on and off the court.

Landers' remarkable season was further recognized by the Concordia University Wisconsin Department of Athletics when he was named the recipient of the 2025-26 Male Athlete of the Year Award, one of the department's highest individual honors.

The 2025-26 season showcased the Falcons' competitiveness within the NACC and featured one of the most decorated individual campaigns in program history. Behind strong team performances and Landers' historic accomplishments, Concordia continued to build momentum as a contender within the conference while establishing new benchmarks for future Falcons to pursue.
