Record-Breaking Performances Highlight Falcons' 2026 Campaign

MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia University Wisconsin Men's Volleyball team showed resilience throughout the 2026 season, overcoming challenges while producing several record-breaking performances and earning a return trip to the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Tournament.

The Falcons finished the season with a 6-17 overall record and a 5-7 mark in conference play, securing an eighth-place finish in the NACC standings and qualifying for postseason competition.

Concordia's first victory of the season also marked its first conference win, as the Falcons defeated Marian 3-1 on February 21. The match proved to be one of the most memorable performances of the season, as the Falcons rewrote several entries in the program's record book. Against the Sabres, Concordia totaled 20.5 team blocks, setting a new school record for a four-set match and surpassing the previous mark of 16.5 established against Lakeland in 2020. Parker Butterfass played a major role in the historic defensive effort, recording 11 total blocks to break the program's individual four-set record of 10, previously held by Lucas Beres. Butterfass also tied the school record for service aces in a four-set match with five, matching marks set by Logan Kebisek in 2025 and Beres in 2024.

As the season progressed, the Falcons continued to showcase their offensive capabilities. On April 1 against Rockford, Concordia delivered one of the most efficient attacking performances in program history. The Falcons hit a school-record of .547 as a team, tallying 41 kills on 64 attempts with only six errors. The performance surpassed the previous program record established against Russell Sage during the 2025 season and marked just the third time in school history that Concordia eclipsed a .500 hitting percentage in a match.

The Falcons concluded NACC regular season play on a positive note with a commanding 3-0 sweep of Lakeland, securing their place in the conference tournament.

Concordia's season continued into the NACC Tournament, where the eighth-seeded Falcons faced top-seeded MSOE in the quarterfinals. Despite a determined effort against one of the conference's top programs, Concordia fell 3-0 to bring the season to a close.

Butterfass' outstanding season earned him All-NACC Second Team recognition.

Success in the classroom was also a hallmark of the Falcons' season. Tate Miller was selected to the CSC Academic All-District At-Large Team.

While the win-loss record did not fully reflect the team's growth, the Falcons demonstrated determination throughout the season and continued to make strides within the NACC. With program records falling and valuable experience gained, the foundation remains in place for future success.
