Championship Journey Leads Falcons Back to the National Stage on Home Turf

MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia University Wisconsin men's lacrosse team turned in one of the finest seasons in program history during the 2025-26 campaign, capturing the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Tournament Championship, earning the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Championship, and rewriting the program record book along the way.

The Falcons finished the season with a program-best 19-2 overall record and a 10-1 mark in NACC play, placing second in the regular season conference standings before making an unforgettable postseason run.

Concordia opened the year in dominant fashion with a commanding 20-2 victory over Carroll before beginning conference play with another impressive performance, defeating Benedictine 20-4 for its first NACC win of the season. As the year progressed, the Falcons established themselves as one of the nation's hottest teams, stringing together a program-record 13-game winning streak entering postseason play.

That momentum carried into the NACC Tournament, where Concordia put together three outstanding performances to capture the conference championship. The Falcons opened the tournament with a 19-7 quarterfinal victory over Lawrence before knocking off MSOE 12-9 in the semifinals. In the championship game, Concordia defeated Lake Forest 8-5 to secure the NACC Tournament title and earn the conference's automatic bid to the 2026 NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Championship. The NCAA appearance marked just the second tournament berth in program history.

The Falcons also made history by hosting their first-ever NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Championship game, welcoming Ohio Northern to Mequon. Concordia's remarkable season came to a close with a 14-6 loss to the Polar Bears, but the opportunity to host an NCAA Tournament contest represented another milestone for the rapidly growing program.

Throughout the season, Concordia rewrote multiple program records. The Falcons established new school marks with 19 victories, the most wins in a single season, a 13-game winning streak, and 10 home victories, further cementing the 2025-26 team as one of the greatest in program history.

The Falcons' success was fueled by exceptional individual performances that were recognized across the conference. Concordia placed nine student-athletes on the All-NACC teams, highlighted by Nolan O'Malley being named NACC Defensive Player of the Year and Brayden Wilson earning Co-Freshman of the Year honors.

O'Malley, Oliver Roa, Preston Meier, and Bryce Petersen received First Team All-NACC recognition, while Wilson, Jackson Knutson, and Ben Birch were named to the Second Team. Jack Bradley and Parker Lewis each earned Honorable Mention All-NACC accolades.

Following the conference championship, four Falcons were selected to the NACC All-Tournament Team. O'Malley headlined the group after being voted the tournament's Most Valuable Player, while Knutson, Meier, and Roa also earned all-tournament honors for their outstanding postseason performances.

O'Malley's stellar season extended beyond the conference as he was selected to the IMLCA All-Region Team, recognizing him among the top defenders in the region.

Concordia's excellence was equally evident in the classroom. Meier, O'Malley, Roa, and Ryan Svehla were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District At-Large Team for their achievements academically and athletically. Meier and Roa also earned recognition as USILA Scholar All-Americans, highlighting their commitment to excellence both on the field and in the classroom.

From a record-breaking regular season to a conference championship and a return to the national tournament, the 2025-26 Falcons established a new standard for Concordia men's lacrosse. With program records falling, championship hardware returning to Mequon, and national recognition earned on and off the field, the season will be remembered as one of the most successful in school history.
