MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia University Wisconsin women's lacrosse team put together another competitive season in 2025-26, finishing with a 7-9 overall record and a 5-4 mark in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) play. The Falcons placed fifth in the conference standings, earning a return trip to the NACC Tournament while celebrating one of the most memorable individual accomplishments in program history.
Concordia earned its first victory of the season in dramatic fashion, defeating Southwestern 10-9 in overtime. The thrilling win helped establish momentum early in the year before the Falcons opened conference competition with another one-goal triumph, edging Cornell 10-9 for their first NACC victory of the season.
The defining moment of the season came on April 15 against Marian when senior attacker Katelyn Cardinale etched her name atop the Concordia record books. Cardinale scored her 219th career goal to become the program's all-time leading goal scorer, surpassing the previous record of 218 goals set by Lauren Paquin in 2019. The historic achievement highlighted an outstanding career that concluded with another dominant offensive season.
Cardinale once again led the Falcons' attack, finishing with a team-high 67 goals while serving as one of the conference's premier offensive threats throughout the season. Her consistent production helped power Concordia to a fifth-place finish in the NACC standings and a berth in the conference tournament.
The Falcons' postseason run came to an end in the NACC Tournament quarterfinals, where they fell to MSOE by a 19-7 score. Despite the result, Concordia's return to postseason play marked another successful step for the program against a competitive conference field.
Several Falcons were recognized for their performances throughout the season with All-NACC honors. Cardinale and Emily Robertson were each named to the All-NACC First Team after standout campaigns on both ends of the field. Naomi Black and Carolyn Bourgeault earned Second Team All-NACC recognition, while Delainey McCardle was selected as an Honorable Mention recipient.
Following the conference tournament, Cardinale was named to the All-NACC Tournament Team after another strong postseason performance.
The Falcons also excelled in the classroom, with Cardinale, Robertson, and Black earning selection to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District At-Large Team, recognizing their excellence both academically and athletically.
With another NACC Tournament appearance, a program record rewritten, and numerous individual accolades earned, the 2025-26 season showcased the continued growth of Concordia women's lacrosse while adding another memorable chapter to the program's history.
