MEQUON, Wis. — The Concordia University Wisconsin men's cross country team turned in a strong performance on Saturday, highlighted by an individual championship from senior
Isaiah Lubner at the Ken Weidt Classic hosted by Concordia Wisconsin. The Falcons as a team placed 5
th, scoring 117 points.
Lubner paced the Falcons from the front, crossing the finish line first with a winning time of 25:54.5. His first-place finish led a determined Concordia effort throughout the field.
Mason Everts was the next Falcon across the line, placing 25th with a time of 28:53.0. Caden Reiter followed in 53rd at 31:17.8, while Gavriel Baker finished 61st in 31:59.7.
Concordia continued to put runners across the finish line as Liam Wielert placed 63rd in 32:07.4, followed closely by Carter Bonlender in 64th at 32:12.5. Jakob Toerpe finished 67th with a time of 32:23.3.
Eric Krause recorded a 71st-place finish in 33:16.3, while Seth Mchugh
crossed in 73rd at 33:38.7. Kyle Diven finished 74th in 33:42.2, and Jackson Huebner rounded out the Falcons' competitors in 84th with a time of 35:34.7.
Lubner's individual victory provided the highlight of the afternoon for Concordia, as the Falcons battled throughout the race and continued to gain valuable experience as a team.
The Falcons will return to action at the St. Olaf Invitational on Saturday September 19 at 11 am.
