Eddy Morgan

Eddy Morgan completed his 12th season as head coach of the Concordia University Wisconsin baseball program in 2025, steadily shaping the Falcons into a respected competitor within the region. Since taking over the program, Morgan has guided Concordia to several milestone achievements — including its first All-American, multiple All-Region selections, and periodic appearances in the NCAA regional rankings. He reached his 200th win with the Falcons in 2023 and has totaled 248 career victories at the helm.

In 2025, Morgan coached freshman Graham Kasten to Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Freshman of the Year honors, making him just the fourth player in program history to earn that recognition. Sophomore left-hander Alex Kuntz also excelled, tying the program's single-season strikeout record en route to First Team All-NACC honors.

The Falcons earned a fifth-place finish in the 2024 NACC Tournament, collecting wins over Edgewood and Marian. In 2021, Morgan led Concordia to the NACC Tournament Finals after winning the North Division title, with Sam Beers earning All-American recognition — just the second player in school history to do so.

Morgan’s most successful campaign came in 2017, when the Falcons posted a program-record 28 wins, reached as high as No. 5 in the NCAA Midwest regional rankings, and advanced to the NACC Championship game. That season included wins over nationally ranked UW-Whitewater and Concordia Chicago, and it also marked the program’s first All-American selection as Bryan Thomas earned Second Team honors from the ABCA. Thomas and teammate Matt Schubert both earned multiple All-Region honors that year.

Before joining Concordia, Morgan served as the head coach at UW-Superior, where he became the program’s all-time wins leader with 105 victories over seven seasons. He inherited a team that had finished 3-35 and quickly turned it into a competitive program, including a 10-win conference season in 2010 — the school’s best league performance in nearly four decades.

From 2013 to 2017, Morgan also served as manager of the Lakeshore Chinooks in the Northwoods League, a summer collegiate league known for producing professional talent. He was named the league’s Manager of the Year in 2014 after guiding the Chinooks to a championship and coached more than 65 players who were later selected in the MLB Draft. Among them were future major leaguers Harrison Bader (St. Louis Cardinals), Brian Anderson (Miami Marlins), Zack Granite (Minnesota Twins), and Andrew Stevenson (Washington Nationals).

Earlier in his career, Morgan was an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at The College of St. Scholastica, where he helped guide the program to national rankings and postseason appearances throughout a nine-year stretch.

Morgan earned his bachelor’s degree in behavioral arts and sciences from St. Scholastica in 1998 and his master’s degree in management in 2012. He lives in Saukville with his wife, Jessica, and their two children, Isaac and Piper.
