2014 Season (Freshman): Named to the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference All-Freshman Team...Made 14 appearances on the mound, starting one game...Posted a 2.75 ERA and a 3-1 record, registering one save as well...Pitched 39.1 innings, striking out 21 batters and walking just six...Also had 28 at-bats and played in 24 total games...Hit .286 (8-for-28) with six RBIs...Had one double...Threw seven innings and did not allow an earned run, scattering five hits and striking out a season-best five for a win in his only start of season, a 9-1 victory over Edgewood College (Apr. 26)...Did not allow an earned run in over 13 innings of work from Apr. 16 through Apr. 26...Picked up a two-inning save in a 3-1 win over Elmhurst College (Apr. 16)...Threw 2.2 innings of scoreless relief against St. Norbert College (Apr. 2)...Picked up win over Marian University (Apr. 21) with 4.2 innings of scoreless relief in a 4-3 contest...Went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored against Trinity International University (Apr. 8)...Hit a double and drove in two against Concordia University Chicago (Mar. 31).

Personal: Son of Dave Gausman and Maureen Pearce...Has one older sister, Caitlin Petersen, and one older brother, David. Related to Kevin Gausman who was drafted fourth overall by the Baltimore Orioles in 2012.
