Andrew Heffler is in his second year as the Concordia Wisconsin Football graduate assistant coach, working with the offense and coaching the running backs. Furthermore, with the hiring of Curran White as Offensive Coordinator, Heffler was tasked with coaching the tight ends as well.  He also assists with the Special Teams. Heffler is also responsible for being the Offensive Play Caller and Head Coach for the JV Games. Additionally, Heffler is tasked with running the Defensive Scout Team during practices.

During Heffler’s first year with the Falcons, he also served as the video coordinator for the team. In Heffler’s first year as a recruiter, he was able to garner 15 commits, with the majority of his commits coming from the West Coast as well. Furthermore, he assists in all aspects of recruiting for the program such as coordinating on-campus recruiting visits for both individuals and groups, presentations, room set up, and edits. Additionally, he is the Content and Creative Manager for all the CUW Football Social Media Pages (Twitter: @CUWFB; Instagram: cuw_fb). Heffler also serves as an Academic Coach for the CUW Football Team, which entails meeting players regularly in regards to eligibility, academic standing, and leading study table.

The second-year coach comes from Pomona Pitzer College, where he was a four-year player and three-year starter as a defensive lineman. Originally from San Diego, California as well. The Southern California native played 29 games during his career, making 82 total tackles (36 solo, 46 assisted). He also had 9.5 sacks, 13 tackles for loss, a forced fumble and fumble recovery. Elected twice to the All-Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Academic Team. He recorded four sacks in one game and is now among the top single-game record-holders in school history. One of the most prolific defensive lineman in Pomona-Pitzer history and helped change a historically losing team into a consistent winner. During his time, the Sagehens went 21-14 and 17-10 in the SCIAC. He was a part of the winningest class in school history. Heffler was awarded the highest honor you can receive as a Pomona-Pitzer Sagehen football player by receiving The #44 Scott Studenmund Award this past season. Heffler graduated in May 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Studies, with an emphasis in Leadership and Management.

Heffler gained valuable experience in the coaching profession while being a student-athlete in a rigorous academic environment. He assisted in recruiting for Southern California with the Pomona-Pitzer staff as well as working many different camps that were run by the school. He was the head of the Pomona-Pitzer football social media department and worked for the athletic department through event staff. Additionally, he was one of the founders of the Sagehen Youth Football Training (SHYFT) Camps that provided free football clinics to the Inland Empire Community. Furthermore, he was actively present and coaching during his summers for his high school alma mater football program, St. Augustine High School.

Currently, Heffler resides in Mequon, Wisconsin, and is pursuing his Masters in Organizational Leadership & Administration at Concordia University Wisconsin.
