Joseph Federico enters his fourth season with the Falcons in 2026
Federico has helped lead Concordia Wisconsin to some of the most successful offensive seasons in program history. In 2025, the Falcons captured the NACC Championship, finished 9-2 overall and 8-0 in conference play, earned the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Football Playoffs and hosted the first NCAA Division III home playoff game in program history.
Under Federico’s direction, junior quarterback Roman Funk earned First Team All-NACC after a breakout 2025 campaign. Funk threw for 2,735 yards and 29 touchdowns while accounting for 204 points, helping the Falcons rank among the top passing offenses in the country.
Federico came to Concordia from the University of Jamestown in North Dakota, where he spent six seasons. With the Jimmies, he served as the Quarterbacks Coach, Co-Special Teams Coordinator and Academic Coordinator. During his time at Jamestown, the Jimmies rewrote the offensive record book. In 2021, Jamestown ranked among the top passing teams in the country, with quarterback Cade Torgerson ranking second nationally in completions, first in attempts, eighth in total passing yards and seventh in passing yards per game.
Federico played quarterback at Phoenix College (Ariz.) from 2012-2014 before continuing his playing career at Concordia University Wisconsin from 2015-2016.
He graduated from Concordia University Wisconsin in 2017 with a degree in Sports Management & Entertainment.
