Jacob Schmidt starts his first year as the Director of Human Performance during the 2025-26 season.
Schmidt earned a B.S. in Exercise Physiology and a M.B.A. in Leadership from Concordia Wisconsin. While studying for his Bachlors, Schmidt was a member of the Falcons men's soccer team.Â
Schmidt has earned certifications as a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and USA Level 1 Weightlifting. He is also working to become a Certified Performance & Sports Scientist (CPSS).
Prior to working full time at Concordia, Schmidt was a Graduate Assistant Strength Coach at CUW from 2022-2024 and an intern Strength and Conditioning Coach at Marquette University during the 2022-23 season.
Originally from Wautoma, Wis., he enjoys competing in Ironmans. Schmidt recently traveled to Nice, France to compete in the 2025 Ironman World Championships.
