MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin eSports team kicked off their 2025-2026 campaign with a busy slate. At the end of week one the student-athletes competing in traditional games finished undefeated.

"This was a great week of games," said head coach
Jack Slater. "The students had a lot more time than a typical season beforehand to sit down and review their scrimmages and matches and it paid off in a big way. If these students continue to display this level of dedication and discipline were going to have a monumental season."

The Super Smash Bros Ultimate team was the first to compete this season taking on SUNY-Polytechnic Institute on Monday. The team comprised of
Sophia Cattelan,
Jonathan Meyer, and
Benjamin Wrenn, defeated the Wildcats, 2-1.

The Rainbow Six Siege team also competed Monday.
Elliot Ashley,
Julian Styer,
Samuel Braatz,
Brody Nowotarski, and
Lucas Kearney logged on for the match. Competing against Keiser the Falcons held the Hawks scoreless with a, 2-0 victory.

Tuesday's dual featured Valorant and was against Purdue. Â The Boilers went down, 2-1, with
Simeon Baumann,
Josh Imlah,
Matt Koepke,
Malcolm Brian, and Zach Young competing for the Falcons.

The final match of the week was against SUNY Fredonia on Thursday.
Brennen Bunyea,
Cameron Lee, and
Stryker Traska competed for the Falcons in the 4-1 win over the Blue Devils.

The Apex Legends team and the Fortnite teams had their first bouts of competition. On the Apex team was,
Andrew Maske,
Silas James Bernardino, and
Andrew Kilgras.
Evan Delvaux and
Joseph Stevens competed in Fortnite. Both squads finished in the top 40% of their series.
