MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin esports program has added yet another trophy to its growing collection. The Rainbow Six Siege team continued its dynasty run by securing the 2024 Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) National Championship, marking its third national title in four years after lifting the banner in 2022 and 2023.
"Talk about a series that keeps you on the edge of your seat," said head coach Jack Slater. "This series started at eight and went the distance to the final map, which we were able to close out 7-5. The focus and determination of these guys to stay consistent from 8 o'clock until 1:30 a.m. is extraordinary. This was a new Siege team and they knew they had big shoes to fill with the previous team winning back-to-back national titles — and they did not disappoint. Their work ethic and determination to improve upon each area of play is what propelled them to win this national title."
This championship marks the fourth national title in program history, joining last April's Call of Duty national championship.
The roster of Julian Styer (Mulligan), Lucas Kearney (Twistedrodz), Samuel Braatz (Alwayscheezin), Brody Nowotarski (JV Starter), and Elliot Ashley (Chong) capped off a perfect 10-0 season on Monday night.
Team captain Elliot Ashley reflected on what pushed this group across the finish line.
"Eliminations can only get you so far. Our comms and executions were really what stole the maps. Everyone played their role well, and we executed like a well-oiled machine."
The Falcons claimed a 3-2 victory over Marion Tech in the grand finals to secure the crown and close out their undefeated run.
