Five Falcons Earn NACC Honors; Brianna Lundt Named Defensive Player of the Year

MEQUON, Wis. – The awards poured in for the Concordia Wisconsin volleyball team on Thursday when the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) announced its major award winners and all-conference teams for the 2025 women's volleyball season.

The Falcons landed one major award with Brianna Lundt claiming the Defensive Player of the Year title. CUW landed two All-NACC First Team honorees with Brianna Lundt and Paige Stickney. Abby Proefrock was named to the All-NACC Second Team. The duo of Ashley Habermehl and McKenna Oetzman landed on the All-NACC Honorable Mention.

Brianna Lundt

A senior libero from Rosendale, Wisconsin, Brianna Lundt is claiming her first All-NACC honor. This is the third time that a Falcon has claimed the honor, Erin Kiesow was voted as the conference's top defensive player in both 2006 and 2007. Lundt proved herself as the best defender in the NACC in 2025 with 5.02 digs per set, leading the conference by 0.29 digs per set. Her 517 digs her 53 more than second place. She also has 126 assists, to go with her 28 service aces and one spectacular kill. Lundt posted double-digit figures in digs in 27 matches, topping 20 digs on 13 separate occasions.

Paige Stickney

A senior middle blocker from Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, Paige Stickney is appearing on the All-NACC First Team for the second year in a row. Stickney is third in the conference with 1.00 blocks per set and has 103 blocks on the year. She boasts a team-best 0.289 hitting percentage and averaged 3.53 point per set. The spectacular senior has 271 kills, 29 service aces on the year.

Abby Proefrock

A senior defensive specialist from Grafton, Wisconsin, Abby Proefrock is claiming her fourth All-NACC Second Team honor of her career. Proefrock has done it all for Concordia the year and has 223 kills, 287 digs, 25 blocks, 31 service aces and 21 assists.

Ashley Habermehl

A senior outside hitter from Brookfield, Wisconsin, Ashley Habermehl is claiming her first All-NACC honor on the Honorable Mention Team. Habermehl averages 2.86 points per set in 2025. She has 129 kills to her name to go with her 163 digs, 20 blocks and 12 service aces.

McKenna Oetzman

A sophomore setter from Reedsburg, Wisconsin, McKenna Oetzman is earning her second appearance on the All-NACC Honorable Mention Team. The superb setter dished out 534 assists and averages 5.24 assist per set. The Wisconsin native is also lethal from the backrow with a team-best 44 service aces and has dug up 276 balls.

Edgewood claimed two of the four major award with Katie Borchert as the Player of the Year and also claimed the Coaching Staff of the Year. Samya Hughes of Lakeland was voted as the NACC Freshman of the Year.

The Falcons tied for fourth place in the NACC with a 10-3 record.
