TEMPE, Ariz. – The Concordia Wisconsin triathlon team wrapped up a strong season on Saturday morning at the USA Triathlon Women's Collegiate National Championships.
The Falcons were one of 28 schools competing across NCAA Divisions I, II, and III, finishing sixth in NCAA Division III with 78 points. Seven CUW student-athletes qualified for the national meet.
The championship course featured a 750-meter swim, 20-kilometer bike, and five-kilometer run, divided into three waves.
Junior Anya Mattke (Fox Point, Wis.) led the Falcons with a 164th-place finish, clocking a total time of 1:25:09.5. Mattke opened with a 14:03.6 swim, posted CUW's fastest bike split at 41:55.6, and finished the day with a 27:17.7 run.
Sophomore Keira Elliott (Andover, Minn.) followed in 176th place at 1:29:39.1. Elliott notched the team's top swim time of 13:12.0, followed by a 46:19.2 bike and 27:56.8 run.
Just behind her, junior Sydney Morgen (Brandon, Wis.) placed 177th with a time of 1:29:39.2. Morgen completed the swim in 17:14.2, cycled 45:35.3, and ran a team-best 24:38.8 to close out her race strong.
Junior Cadia Sanders (Joppa, Md.) crossed the line 178th, recording a total time of 1:30:19.0. Sanders turned in a 15:24.9 swim, 44:45.0 bike, and 28:10.8 run.
Senior Nora Triller (Hartford, Wis.) finished 182nd in 1:32:38.1 with splits of 14:29.7 (swim), 48:21.6 (bike), and 27:43.1 (run).
Junior Chloe Lemoine (Richfield, Wis.) followed in 184th at 1:32:43.3, recording times of 17:15.0 (swim), 45:17.8 (bike), and 27:50.1 (run).
Rounding out the Falcons, Senior Darya Gunderman (Minneapolis, Minn.) finished 189th at 1:39:38.8, with splits of 17:47.6 (swim), 45:14.3 (bike), and 34:19.9 (run).
North Central College captured the NCAA Division III national title with 450 points.
Saturday's championship capped off a successful first season under head coach Carson Christen. The Falcons will look to build on their momentum and soar even higher in 2026.
