DE PERE, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin men's track & field team closed the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday. The Falcons finished in fourth place with 76 points. The Falcons won three titles on Saturday. The Green Knights of St. Norbert claimed the team title at 208 points, three points ahead of MSOE.
Sophomore Isaiah Lubner (Campbellsport, Wis.) claimed the NACC crown in the 800-meter run with a winning time of 1:55.10. Senior Zach Leahy (West Dundee, Ill.) was sixth at 1:58.07.
In the 400-meter hurdles, sophomore Zach Wendland (Green Bay, Wis.) was the champion with a career-best time of 54.94. Sophomore Josh Sipes (Charleston, Ill.) was sixth at 57.74, for his best time of his career.
Senior Timmy Brey (Cedarburg, Wis.) was once again the best in the NACC, taking the title in the 5000-meter run. He won the race with a career-best time of 14:40.98. Freshman Jonah Slavik (Muskego, Wis.) finished in 11th at 15:50.92, and sophomore Mason Everts (Saukville, Wis.) was 20th at 16:36.53.
The Falcons started the day with a seventh-place finish in the 4x100-meter relay. The team of freshman Victor Watson Jr. (Cypress, Texas), sophomore Se'Korrey Thomas (Punta Gorda, Fla.), freshman Brock Roseman (Pueblo, Colo.,) and freshman Jalen Pressley (Leesburg, Fla.) finished at 44.45.
In the 1500-meter run, Zach Leahy picked up a point in eighth place with a career-best time of 3:59.95. Sophomore Riley Johnson (Cedar Lake, Ind.) was in 14th place at 4:27.31 with the best time of his career, and freshman Eric Krause (Jackson, Wis.) was 22nd at 4:49.02, for a career-best time.
Junior Brandon Donahue (Hubertus, Wis.) was sixth in the 110-meter hurdles at 15.76.
Senior Jacob Couillard (Kingsford, Mich.) was seventh with 4442 points. He was second in the 110-meter hurdles at 17.53, third in the discus throw at 31.01 meters, fourth in the pole vault at 3.40 meters, 10th in the javelin at 30.47 meters, and 12th in the 1500-meter run at 6:16.04.
The Blue and White closed the day in third place in the 4x400-meter relay. The team of Brock Roseman, freshman Lucas Mathes (Brillion, Wis.), Zach Wendland, and Isaiah Lubner finished at 3:23.23.
In the weight throw, John Kutner posted a mark of 40.07 meters to finish in 11th place.
Zach Wendland placed fourth in the high jump at 1.86 meters.
In the shot put competition, freshman Hayden Kettmann (Beecher, Ill.) led the flock in 12th place at 12.17 meters and junior John Kutner (Muskego, Wis.) was in 16th place at 11.56 meters.
Five Falcons competed in the long jump on Saturday. Freshman Kam'ron Pierre (Santa Clarita, Calif.) led the way in ninth place at 6.28 meters, and freshman Corban Jackson (Green Bay, Wis.) was ninth at 6.28 meters. Lucas Mathes finished 14th at 6.18 meters, freshman Caeden Kreibich (Somerset, Wis.) was 24th at 5.47 meters, and junior Nick Taylor (West Bend, Wis.) was 25th at 5.46 meters.
Saturday wraps up the team portion of the season.
