Samantha Behling Claims First Career NACC Weekly Honor

MEQUON, Wis. - Freshman Samantha Behling was named the Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference (NACC) Student-Athlete of the Week for women's tennis, as voted on by the league's athletic communications professionals.

This marks the first time in her career that she has earned this honor.

In Concordia Wisconsin's first match on Saturday, Behling and senior Payton Steward (Appleton, Wis.) earned a 6-1 victory at No. 2 doubles against Wisconsin Lutheran. Behling then notched another victory at No. 2 singles, as CUW claimed the 7-0 victory.

In the Falcons' match against the MSOE Raiders later that day, Behling and Steward picked up a 6-0 victory at No. 2 doubles, as their team earned the doubles point.

The Brookfield, Wisconsin native earned one last win at No. 2 singles, as Concordia Wisconsin defeated MSOE 6-1 to clinch its 10th NACC title. The Falcons improved to 7-0 on the year.

Behling and the Birds will close out the regular season and look to win the conference title outright on Saturday when they host Edgewood at 1 p.m. CST.
