Jordin Popp Voted NACC Women’s Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week

MEQUON, Wis. - Freshman Jordin Popp was named the Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference (NACC) Student-Athlete of the Week for women's tennis on Wednesday morning, as voted on by the league's athletic communications professionals.

In the ITA Singles Draw on Friday, the Manitowoc, Wisconsin native earned a first-round bye and opened up with a 6-0, 6-4 victory over Dubuque's Molly Jex.

In Concordia Wisconsin's 7-0 victory over Marian on Sunday, Popp and freshman Taylor Peterson (Manitowoc, Wis.) earned a 6-1 win at No. 1 doubles.

Popp also picked up the first singles point against Marian with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 1 singles, as the Falcons improved to 5-0 overall and 4-0 in NACC play this season.

This marks the second time in Popp's career that she has earned this honor, with the first being on Sept. 16 of this year.

Popp and Concordia Wisconsin will travel to Glendale, Wisconsin to face MSOE on Sept. 30 at 4 p.m. CST.
