MEQUON, Wis. – The Falcons made easy work of Adrian on Saturday afternoon inside the R. John Buuck Field House. The Concordia Wisconsin acrobatics & tumbling team improved to 1-1 on the young season with a 212.435 to 112.850 victory over Adrian.
The 212.435 points was a season-high score for the Falcons.
The Falcons soared to season-best scores in five of the six events and in 11 heats.
The Blue and White jumped out to an early lead with 29.35 points in the compulsory event. CUW scored 9.20 points in the toss heat to highlight the event.
The Birds ballooned the lead even bigger with 22.80 points in the toss event.
The Falcons scorched the Bulldogs in the pyramid event with 26.25 points, capping off the event with 9.80 points in the open pyramid.
The Falcons elevated the lead with 23.3 points in the toss event.
The tumbling event tallied a season-best 37.825 points. The duo pass of senior Ainslee Taylor (Alto, Mich.) and junior Cadia Sanders (Joppa, Md.) scored a season-best 6.7 points as did in the aerial pass with Ainslee Taylor at 7.1 points.
Concordia finished the day on another high note with a season-best 73.01 points in the team event.
CUW outscored Adrian on Saturday in 17 heats and all six events.
The Falcons will face a tough test on Saturday at Augustana.
