MEQUON, Wis. – On Wednesday morning, the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) announced its Student-Athlete of the Week honor for track & field. The league's athletic communications professionals voted Kyle Steiner as the Student-Athlete of the week for Men's Track.
A junior from Villa Park, Illinois, Kyle Steiner is earning the honor for the first time in his career.
Steiner posted a record-breaking day at the Wisconsin-Oshkosh Titan Challenge on Saturday. He finished second in the 200-meter dash with a program-record time of 22.35 seconds. He also placed third in the 60-meter dash at 6.99 seconds - the second-fastest time in program history.
Jacob Klitzke of St. Norbert was voted as the Men's Field Student-Athlete of the Week.
Steiner and the Falcons return to action on Friday for the NACC Indoor Track & Field Championships in Ripon, Wisconsin.
