DE PERE, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin baseball team hit the road for the final time in the 2026 regular season on Tuesday afternoon. The Falcons earned the split in the Tuesday twin bill with the Green Knights taking game one, 4-2, with e Blue and White bouncing back with a 4-0 victory in game two. The Falcons head into the final weekend of the regular season at 17-19 on the year and at 13-9 in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference.
The Falcons took an early lead in game one when junior Hayden Reich (Sussex, Wis.) singled up the middle to score sophomore Graham Kasten (Mequon, Wis.) in the second inning.
The Concordia defense kept the St. Norbert bats quiet until the sixth inning, where SNC tied the game on a home run.
St. Norbert was able to take advantage of an error and scored three runs in the seventh inning.
The Falcons earned a run back in the eighth inning when freshman Dylan Hein (Dyer, Ind.) sent a shot to second base to score junior Luke Heinkel (Brookfield, Wis.), but that closed the scoring in game one.
Luke Heinkel and senior Brandon McCray (Corona, Calif.) both had two hits in game one for the Falcons.
Freshman Preston Régnier (Yorkville, Ill.) produced three strikeouts in the start for the Falcons.
The Green Knights threatened early in game two with the bases loaded in the second inning but a fielder's choice and a groundout to shortstop iced the threat.
The Birds found their way onto the scoreboard in the third inning.
Brandon McCray started the scoring with a single into the gap in right-center field to score freshman Jameson Dick (Chesapeake, Va.) from second base. Luke Heinkel smashed a double to deep centerfield that easily plated Brandon McCray.
In the fifth inning, Luke Heinkel landed a well-placed bunt that allowed Brandon McCray to cross home plate and keep the train moving.
The final run of the day was in the sixth inning on a throwing error that scored Graham Kasten from second base.
The Green and Gold to score late in the ninth inning with runner on first and second but a strikeout for senior Tyler Bartczak (Crestwood, Ill.) and a groundout closed the book on Tuesday.
Brandon McCray led the contest with three hits in game two.
Freshman Jackson Kobylarczyk (Jackson, Wis.) earned his third victory of the season with another impressive start.
The Falcons close the regular season on Friday afternoon when they host Wisconsin Lutheran on Senior Day.
