MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia University Wisconsin women's tennis team battled through a competitive 2025-26 campaign, finishing with a 7-15 overall record and a 5-3 mark in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference play. The Falcons secured a fourth-place finish in the NACC regular season standings, advanced to the conference tournament semifinals, and earned numerous postseason honors for their accomplishments on the court and in the classroom.
Concordia opened the dual-match season against Carroll, falling 7-0 in their season opener before turning their attention towards conference competition.
The Falcons began NACC play against St. Norbert with several strong individual performances. Abigail Haley and Katelyn de Guzman earned a victory at No. 3 doubles, while Taylor Weiner and Payton Steward secured a win at No. 2 doubles. Haley also added a singles victory at the No. 4 position to highlight Concordia's opening conference match.
Conference play continued to trend upward as the Falcons collected their first NACC victory with a convincing 6-1 triumph over Wisconsin Lutheran. Concordia carried that momentum throughout the remainder of league play, ultimately finishing with a 5-3 conference record and locking up fourth place in the regular season standings.
The Falcons closed the regular season on a high note with a 5-2 victory over MSOE, providing momentum heading into postseason competition.
Concordia carried its success into the NACC Women's Tennis Tournament, where the Falcons opened with a 4-1 quarterfinal victory over MSOE to advance to the semifinals. Their season concluded against eventual conference champion Illinois Tech, which claimed a 4-0 semifinal victory.
Several Falcons received postseason recognition following the conclusion of the season. Claire Kelly was named to the All-NACC Singles Team after another outstanding campaign, while Kelly and Maddie Brashaw earned All-NACC Doubles Team honors for their consistent success as a pairing throughout the year.
The Falcons also placed two student-athletes on the All-NACC Tournament Team, with Ruth Dolde and Haley receiving the recognition following their performances during the conference tournament.
Success extended beyond competition as Dolde, de Guzman, and Steward were each named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, recognizing their excellence in both academics and athletics.
Despite a challenging non-conformance schedule, the Falcons showed steady improvement throughout the season, finishing among the top four teams in the NACC, advancing to the conference tournament semifinals, and earning multiple conference and academic honors.
