SAINT PETER, Minn. – The Concordia Wisconsin women's tennis team continued a busy weekend of action in Minnesota on Saturday at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Regional Championships and the Gustie Fall Invite.

Freshman Jordin Popp (Manitowoc, Wis.) faced a tough test in second-seeded Abigail Weaver in the third round of the ITA regionals. Weaver advanced with a 6-0, 6-1 victory and won again on Saturday to advance to the quarterfinals.

The Falcons advanced two teams to Saturday in the Gustie Invite Doubles Draw.

In Draw Three, freshman Samantha Behling (Brookfield, Wis.) and senior Payton Steward (Appleton, Wis.) started a day with a victory over Carroll 8-7 and were then topped in the semifinals by Wisconsin-Stevens Point, 8-1.

In Draw Four, sophomore Abigail Haley (Frohna, Mo.) and sophomore Taylor Weiner (Bakersfield, Calif.) opened play with a 5-8 loss to Gustavus Adolphus.

The Falcons conclude the busy weekend on Sunday when they return to Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference play against Marian.
