Track & Field Tallies a Program-Best 10 CSC Academic All-District Selections

MEQUON, Wis. – On Tuesday morning, the College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced the 2025 Academic All-District Men's and Women's Cross Country and Track & Field teams. The honorees are the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the track and in the classroom.

The Concordia Wisconsin track & field teams landed a program record 10 selections in 2025. The 10 selections are the most a school can collect. The previous record was six in 2024.

The men's track & field team was represented by senior Holter Gette (Batavia, Ill.) in the javelin, senior Zach Leahy (Wets Dundee, Ill.) in the 800-meter run and the 1500-meter run, sophomore Isaiah Lubner (Campbellsport, Wis.) in the 800-meter run, sophomore Josh Sipes (Charleston, Ill.) in the 400-meter hurdles and sophomore Zach Wendland (Green Bay, Wis.) in the 400-meter hurdles, decathlon, heptathlon and high jump.

The women's track & field team were honored with sophomore Emma Ahrens (Stephens City, Va.) in the 10000-meter run, the 5000-meter run, the 3000-meter run and the mile run, junior Melanie Arvis (Berwyn, Ill.) in the 5000-meter run, 3000-meter run, the 1500-meter run and the mile run, senior Maya Hielscher (Macomb, Mich.) in the 60-meter hurdles, javelin, 100-meter hurdle, and long jump, junior Kate Kotula (Wyomissing, Pa.) in the pole vault and triple jump and Danielle Van Grinsven (Appleton, Wis.) in the 800-meter run.

In order to be considered for nomination, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or older, with a combined grade-point average over 3.50 and ranked in the top 50 in the region in an event.

Academic All-District honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First, second, and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on July 15 and 16.
