MEQUON, Wis. – The honors keep rolling in for Isaiah Lubner. On Tuesday morning, the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) released its Student-Athlete of the Week honor for Men's Indoor Track and Field. For the second week in a row, the league's athletic communications professionals deemed Isaiah Lubner as the Student-Athlete of the Week for Men's Track.
A junior from Campbellsport, Wisconsin, Isaiah Lubner is claiming his second honor of the season. This is the seventh time that he has been honored by the conference in track & field and cross country.
Lubner posted a record-breaking performance at the Aurora Grand Prix on Saturday in the 800-meter run. In a loaded field, he finished in first place with the fifth-fastest time in NCAA Division III at 1:52.63.
The pride of Campbellsport also has the 103rd-fastest mile time in the nation at 4:18.97.
Ezra Schermacher of St. Norbert was selected as the NACC Field Student-Athlete of the Week.
Lubner and the Falcons return to action this weekend at Wisconsin-Whitewater.
