Emily Ruka Voted as NCATA D3 Specialist of the Week

MEQUON, Wis. – The National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) announced its Student-Athlete of the Week honors on Wednesday afternoon. This year, the NCATA broke up the awards by NCAA divisions. The NCATA voting committee voted Emily Ruka as the NCATA Division III Specialist of the Week.

A senior top from Racine, Wisconsin, Emily Ruka is securing the honor for the first time in her career.

Ruka was nominated for her performances in the pyramid event on Sunday.

She helped the Falcons score 8.55 points in the synchronized pyramid and 9.70 points in the open pyramid.

This is the first time that a Falcon has claimed a weekly honor since Paityn Taormina was announced as the Freshman of the Week Honorable Mention on April 16, 2021.

Ruka and the Falcons return to action on Saturday against Adrian.
