MEQUON, Wis. – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) announced its Student-Athlete of the Week Awards on Wednesday morning for women's outdoor track & field. The league's athletic communications professionals once again voted Ainara Sainz de Rozas as the Women's Track Student-Athlete of the Week.
A senior distance runner from Madrid, Spain, Ainara Sainz de Rozas is claiming the honor for the second time this track season and for the 11th time in her career.
Sainz de Rozas shattered another the school and conference record in the 10,000-meter run at the Drake Relays.
She won with a time of 35:48.11, that currently ranks second in the NCAA Division III performance list.
She broke her own school record and broke the conference record that was held by Deyanneira Colon Maldonado of Aurora.
Kylee Doherty of Edgewood was selected as the NACC Field Athlete of the Week.
Sainz de Rozas and the Falcons return to action again on Friday at the NACC Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
