Emma Ahrens Earns Another NACC Honor

MEQUON, Wis. – On Wednesday morning, the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) once again released its Student-Athlete of the Week honors for cross country. Emma Ahrens was voted as the NACC Student-Athlete of the Week for women's cross country once again by the league's athletic communications professionals.

A junior from Stephens City, Virginia, Emma Ahrens is capturing the honor for the third time this season and the sixth time in her career. This is now the fourth time that she has collected the honor for cross country.

On Saturday, she helped the Falcons win the team title at the Wisconsin Private College Championships. She won the individual title as well in 22:12.1, finishing 1:36 ahead of the field. Ahrens' time also broke the six-kilometer course record at the CUW Championship Course.

Wednesday marks the Fourth time that a Falcon claimed the honor. Senior Ainara Sainz de Rozas claimed the honor on Sept. 3. Ahrens leads the conference with her three honors.

Ahrens and the Falcons return to action on Nov. 1 at the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Championships.
