MEQUON, Wis. – The Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) announced its Women's Three Stars of the Week on Tuesday morning, and for the second consecutive week, a Concordia Wisconsin Falcon earned the spotlight. This time, junior goaltender Carolyn Bourgeault claimed her first career NCHA honor.
The pride of Buffalo, New York was outstanding between the pipes during the Falcons' weekend sweep of Lake Forest. Bourgeault delivered her first shutout of the season in Friday night's 1–0 victory, stopping all 28 shots she faced as CUW handed the Foresters their first loss of the year.
She followed that performance with another strong outing on Saturday, turning aside 19 shots to secure the sweep and help keep the Border Battle Cup in Mequon.
The dynamic dual-sport athlete, Bourgeault has been sensational to start the 2025–26 campaign. She owns a perfect 5-0-0 record along with a remarkable 0.944 save percentage and 1.00 goals-against average.
She becomes the second Falcon in as many weeks to receive NCHA recognition, joining senior Makayla Spejcher, who earned the honor last week for her performances against MSOE.
The conference's other two stars this week are Riley Johnson, senior forward from Adrian, and Claire Healy, junior defender from St. Norbert.
Bourgeault and the Falcons return to action next week at Dubuque.
